Aqua-Spark Coöperatieve U.A. and her co-investors have taken a participation in Protix B.V. Rembrandt Mergers & Acquisitions have assisted Protix in realizing this transaction.

Protix
Protix is a leading producer of animal proteins based on insects. Insects are able to quickly recycle organic residues and to convert these residues to proteins. The proteins can then be used in the production of petfood, aquaculture and animal feed.
Protix has developed a reliable and scalable technology to breed insects. This provides a sustainable source of proteins that can be used to meet the ever-growing demand as a result of the global population increase.
The company has already implemented this technology in a small-scale production facility, which has proved the commercial success and potential of the technology.
